Calgary Stampede 2016

I've been a tad MIA in the blogging world for the last couple of weeks. And that I apologize for. But, I've been taking a little break and spending time with family here, at home in Calgary. Am I ever glad I'm visiting at this time of year! It's Stampede time. Living part time in LA now, I have friends from all over and not everyone gets my excitement for the event. But, I just adore how the whole city gets into Stampede spirit— trading in their suits for denim and cowboy boots at the office. It's fun! The music, the food, the overall atmosphere is amazing. Now I love country music and horses, but I'll admit that's about as country as I get. And although I adore western wear, I get a little uncomfortable going plaid and denim. So instead I like to mix my own personal style into the mix. For this look I went with my favorite, black and white.
