No trip to Santa Barbara is deemed complete without visiting Mesa Verde, just look at their reviews! They've got 5 stars on Yelp, that's how we found them. Let's be real, it's how Carlen and I find all of our new favorites. That and Insta of course!
Anyways, so back to the food. This place has definitely earned a special place on my list, hence why I have to share it with you. With tons of GF and Vegan options on the menu, it's got something for everyone. Its bright local flavors, unique offerings and creative plates make this place standout from a crowd of garden burger and quinoa vegetarian restaurants. It's high-end farm to table goodness.
Our favorites were the empanadas and baklava. And may I recommend you have a glass of rose water with your baklava, the two go so well together!
Would I recommend this place to my fellow vegans? Yes!
Would I recommend it to my not so vegan friends? If they're into lots of veggies.
